Walking in the Spirit

"This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh."(Galatians 5:16)

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Walking in the Spirit. That's the key to overcoming the flesh. If you follow the prompting of the SPIRIT of GOD within you, you won't be dominated by the pressure your flesh tries to put on you.

As you listen to the written WORD and the HOLY SPIRIR telling you what to do, you'll constantly be making little adjustments in your life according to what HE says. And those little adjustments will keep darkness from overtaking you.

You see, GOD knows just what you need. HE can look ahead in your life and see the traps and pressures the devil is laying for you. So follow in faith the HOLY SPIRIT's leading and HE will manoeuver you safely around them to victory.

Scripture Study: 1 Corinthians 10:1-14

10:1 For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers, that our forefathers were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea.

10:2 They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea.

10:3 They all ate the same spiritual food

10:4 and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ.

10:5 Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered over the desert.

10:6 Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did.

10:7 Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: "The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in pagan revelry."

10:8 We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did--and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died.

10:9 We should not test the Lord, as some of them did--and were killed by snakes.

10:10 And do not grumble, as some of them did--and were killed by the destroying angel.

10:11 These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come.

10:12 So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall!

10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

10:14 Therefore, my dear friends, flee from idolatry.

GOD bless you my Brothers and Sister,

from the least of GOD’s servants.

Without obedience to the LORD, there is no salvation
"Who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?"(1 Samuel 17:26)
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
You may be facing a giant today. He may be a giant of sickness or failure, of financial shortage or another kind of trouble. But don't let him scare you. You have a secret weapon. A weapon that once turned a shepherd boy into a bear busting, lion killing, giant slaying champion. That weapon was a blood covenant with Almighty GOD.
Back in David's day, circumcision was the sign of that covenant. So, when he called Goliath uncircumcised, David was saying: This guy may be a giant; he may be strong; but he has no covenant with GOD and that's why I can kill him.
Like David, you, too, have a covenant. But yours is better. The covenant David had offered a wealth of blessings to those who kept (abide the WORD of GOD) it, but it also included curses for those who broke (disobey the teachings of our LORD) it.
Yours is a New Covenant that Jesus bought with His own blood. It doesn't depend on your ability. It depends on HIM and what HE has already done. HE has done it all! All you have to do is believe and receive in faith that JESUS is the SON of GOD and love HIM enough to abide in HIS spoken WORD (In John 14:15 JESUS said “If you love me, keep my commands”. And JESUS reminded all who call themselves Christians, “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?” Luke 6:46). [Take note that only Christians will call JESUS their LORD.]
Right now, read Deuteronomy 28:16-68. That's a list of the curses CHRIST has freed you from. You might even call it a list of the giants JESUS has already slain for you. It contains every diabolical thing the devil could ever use to destroy you. Read it and rejoice. GOD has healed you and delivered you from those things (only when you obey all HIS WORD)!
But if you continue to live in sins (disobey GOD) with an unrepentant heart, then JESUS’s death on the cross will have nothing to do with you and you can still lose your salvation. Right now, read Matthew  25: 31-46 ( in verse 44 ‘They also will answer, ‘Lord’’- take note that only Christians will call JESUS their LORD.) and be warned by it.
Don't let any giant intimidate you. You have a blood covenant with ALMIGHTY GOD (when your faith in GOD is strong enough to love HIM and obey HIM). There's no circumstance on the face of this earth that can take your victory away from you.
Scripture Study: Galatians 3:13-29

Peace be with you
Scripture: "Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell GOD what you need, and thank HIM for all HE has done. Then you will experience GOD’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand." Philippians 4:6-7
We start worrying when we are first born on earth. Hardly a minute goes by in which we aren’t concerning ourselves about something. When does it end? How can we experience peace?
What do we gain with worry?
Some of us worry about what we will wear, or what we will eat, or if we are being entertained, or if our houses are good enough, or if we are at the best school, or if we are well-liked enough…
Those stresses and anxieties can get us down so quickly! They distract us from our focus on the LORD and on godly things. When you are mired in the bog of worry, it seems there is no path to peace.
But what good does all the energy we spend on our anxiousness do us? JESUS asked HIS followers, “Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?” (Matthew 6:27)
JESUS could have had more to be concerned with than any other person on earth. HE had the same needs as any other human. However, since HE was born as the SON of GOD, HE had an awareness we can’t even imagine. In HIS love, HE could see the sin separating people from GOD. How it must have pained HIM to know that HE had to suffer for those sins! Yet HE desired peace and healing for us, the sinners.
Born to worry, reborn to peace
Once we are reborn into the Christian life, we can learn from JESUS’s teaching: “…I tell you not to worry about everyday life — whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?” (Matthew 6:25)
Once we place our trust in HIM, we can concern ourselves with the love of God and love of others. We can praise HIM for HIS tremendous blessings, and try to share HIS love with others! We can take anything before GOD – HE is always listening. We can experience a peace unlike any we have ever experienced during our time on earth.
The light of JESUS’s love can take us from the bog of sin and worry and lead us on HIS path of peace.
Keep your eyes on JESUS
How can we keep from worrying?
Once again, we can look for an answer in the Gospel of Matthew. On a dark, stormy night, the Disciples were in a boat on a lake. They saw JESUS coming toward them, walking on the water! One follower, Peter, wanted to be like JESUS so much that he jumped from the boat and began walking on the water, too!
However, when he noticed the strong wind and deep waves, he took his eyes from JESUS and began to sink. Peter called to JESUS to save him! JESUS grabbed him, they climbed into the boat, and the storm stopped immediately.
Do you see? When Peter kept his eyes – or his focus –on JESUS, not even a stormy sea could topple him! But when he became distracted, he got caught up in the troubled waters. He did remember to call upon JESUS, and JESUS led him to the peace and safety of their boat.
Similarly, we must keep our focus on the LORD – despite the distraction of earthly worries. If they close in upon us, we must look back to GOD, and HE will lead us to peace and safety.
Out of this world peace
What are you concerned with?
Is it the basics of live – food, clothing, shelter?
Or are you concerned with other things – your school or work, your peers’ opinions, your boredom level?
No one is saying that those things aren’t important or that we don’t have to deal with them – they are part of the earthly life GOD has given us! But we must keep our focus on GOD, rather than earthly things, which can so quickly bog us in worry.
When we become followers of JESUS, we can accept the gifts HE has given us, including HIS path to peace. “I am leaving you with a gift — peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” (John 14:27)
So remember: don’t worry; pray instead! Bring your troubles and requests before our LORD, thanking HIM for all the good things HE has provided for us. In troubled times, keeping our focus on GOD will help us experience a peace beyond any earthly understanding.
GOD bless you my Brothers and Sister,
from the least of GOD’s servants.

JESUS’ warning to Hypocrites.
Mark 11: 12-14 The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. 13 Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. 14 Then he said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard him say it.
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
This is the only time recorded in the Gospels when Jesus uses His supernatural power to destroy. The tree is “fully leafed out”—a stage that usually comes after figs are ripe and not before. Because the tree looks as though it ought to have fruit but doesn’t, it is a perfect illustration of people who believe they have the good fruit of righteousness even though their actions are void of true compassion and love, as empty and useless as leaves. And so JESUS curses the fig tree, not out of anger with the tree itself, but as a warning to hypocrites who think their appearance is more important than the fruit of their actions.
GOD bless you my Brothers and Sister,
from the least of GOD’s servants.
