i want to sue my boss

MOM said i was in confidential position and not covered under Employment Act, and advised me to seek other legal help. I'm thinking filing a claim in Magistrate Court, but still hesitating, considering my one month salary is only 3k+, while legal cost may be higher. Anyone has advice? Thanks
