昨天我也看了电视广播。感觉反对党里面就团结党的稿子稍微好一点。有理有据，也不是和PAP挣什么，反对党确实有存在的必要。但还是觉得强势的政府对于小国来讲最有效。

PAP歪曲了他的proposal，他没说要close制造业，只是说重点要转移
Mr Tan also accused the PAP of distorting his proposals in an economic paper he wrote on ideas to regenerate the Singapore economy.

"I did not propose closing factories and abandoning the manufacturing sector," Mr Tan said.

"What I said was that we should not promote manufacturing because it requires a lot of land and labour.

"But Singapore is short of land and labour. I am not against manufacturing. Existing factories can continue if they are profitable, without depending on new incentives from the government.

"You know, (for) Sembawang and Keppel, the Prime Minister has said 75 per cent of their workers are foreign workers.

"And Sembawang and Keppel occupy huge stretches of land. These are valuable land. Land beside the sea.

"(They are) what we call fore-shore land. Foreshore land is very important, very valuable.

"So this is expensive land, valuable land that we cannot afford to give to industries that benefit foreign workers. Where do Singaporeans count in their economic policy?

"We want to promote, we want to use our land, limited tax incentives... promoting services sector such as medical, health sectors, education, creative industries. Why do you need to subsidise rentals of factories?"

where  is the original proposal? he stated something wrong, now try to cover it.

"why do you need to subsidise rentals of factories?" stupid question. there are so many vacant lands of Singapore, why don't you propose to use it? Is there shortage of land for medical, healthcare, education, etc?

what is creative industries? do you know the govt set up many high tech factories and benefits the country a lot? however it may not provide enough work positions as they need investment but not the workers.

why do you want to rob the work opportunity of 25% of the employees? why do you want to rob the 75% of the PROFITS of those factories? they are for Singapore, not foreign workers.

"Existing factories can continue if they are profitable" but you suggest to close the profitable Sembawang & Kepple just because they are hiring more foreign workers? Are your ideas conflicting with each other. Better think twice before speak out!

many many loopholes are there with his proposals.

nothing valuable. for example. He promote healthcare. Please take a look, how many foreign nurses, even doctors are there in the govt hospitals?

制造业才是一个国家的支柱产业，总有人把香港和瑞士做例子，觉得金融业旅游业可以撑起一个国家，可是他们都看不到，或者说不愿意看香港和瑞士发展的特殊历史阶段，天时已过，新加坡已经失去了金融立国的先机。

如果这里有新公民，记得一定投票给人民行动党。

从最自私的角度考虑，既然选择了新加坡，就希望新加坡能够继续在经济上保持成功。。。。

反对党这个副驾驶在别人聚精会神开车的时候，喋喋不休，甚至想拍一巴掌，那是要翻车的。

等到正驾驶要睡觉了再来吧，只要老李小李在，正驾驶就不会睡觉的。

看到我公司了，我就不得不说两句了。。。

sembawang和keppel，实际上是新加坡成为整个东南亚运输和转口贸易核心港口的支柱。
原因无他，中日韩的远洋船队，在设计建造之初，就考虑了新加坡的因素，新加坡可以给船队提供足够的技术支持，无论是维修，改造，还是建造，新加坡都是马六甲区域唯一的选择。而且，由于新加坡的存在，中日韩的远洋船队，实际上是分割成东亚-新加坡和新加坡-欧洲/美洲/非洲/澳洲两部分的，这样，就可以减少船只的重油携带量，从而减少运输成本。

若是新加坡放弃了sembawang和keppel，众多远洋船队，在新加坡中转还有什么意义？要知道，菲律宾，印尼和马来西亚，可是能提供更廉价的淡水，食物，以及Ji~NV的。。。而且对于中日这两个远洋运输的巨无霸来说，在印尼买岛，建立自己的码头，是非常容易的事情。。。

所以说反对党为什么到现在还是绝对少数，
是他们太不争气了，没有政治智慧和长远目标。只能靠少数人民对执政党的不满生存。。。

但是这样短视的人民代表，我想 有还不如没有呢。。。

强烈支持，因为也算在海事业混，这个行业给新加坡带来了很多收益，拉动了很多产业，oil and gas 也会让很多大公司在新扩展业务，而他们要求的不过是偏远地区的一小块地，带来的确是新加坡的国力增长。记得十几年前一次到Sembwang， 出去一看到处都是黑漆漆的，现在那里不一样了，难道没有一份功劳么？
