我不太明白" area " 。对于x-axis 上的部分计算正，以下的计算负  还是 无论上下都计算正?

Displacement = 位移 = 移动距离

Area under a velocity-time graph 就是曲线和X轴之间的面积。

以下是抄来的：

The total distance travelled by the object can be calculated
by measuring the area between thegraph and the baseline.
This is called the area under the graph.

The area under the graph
can be divided into two triangles and one rectangle.

The area of triangle A is half base x height

           = 0·5 x 10 x 20

= 100.

The area of triangle C

                     = 0·5 x(70 - 30)x 20

= 400.

Thearea of rectangle B

             = (30 - 10) x 20

=400.

The distance travelled is the total area = A + B + C

             = 100 + 400 + 400

=900 m.

如此说来后两题是一样的啰。

科学辅导书经常是错误百出， 我也搞不懂哪些书是比较权威的了。

不仅如此， 学校的note有时也会有一些类似的错误。以前一位科学老师比较了全部直通车学校的教材， 认为NUSH和NJC的讲义最好， 南洋女中的讲义很精准但没有涵盖到一些新的科学概念， 其它学校的讲义则不是很认真严谨。

如果是displacement的话 x axis上为正 下为负  ＝）

Answer is TRUE. 对于x-axis 上的部分计算正，以下的计算负.
正负代表速度方向，累计面积的绝对值代表与出发点的位移。正负代表向前或向后。
