You are right. When converse in Chinese, certain words can't pronounce hence if know English then use English word as substitute.
Kopi = Bahasa Melayu
Bing = Fu Jian hua
In Malaysia, language mixes with more Bahasa Melayu words. If you go to Penang then you can find some thai words being used too.
Like in Taiwan, Chinese sentence also mixes with some Mi Lan Yu (Fujian Hua). Sometimes Japanese words are used such as Obasan and Otosan are used to refer elderly auntie and uncle.
Hence it is good to travel around the globe to learn more if you have the chance. |
