谢谢。那是否就是如果我要上所列名单的美国大学，就只要凭国大附中的文凭和SAT 的成绩就可以直接申请了呢？这样通常会被录取吗》
如果是这样，那是否说明NUS比华中和RI要好呢？

申请所列名单的美国大学，凭国大附中文凭的成绩就可以。但要被录取，除了成绩要好，许多顶尖大学也要求学生写Personal Statement/Essay, 和通过口试。很多A水准学生报读美国大学前，也去考SAT和 Advanced Placement,因为可以跳过一些第一年的课程。

不能说NUSH 比RI、华中好。各有千秋吧。我个人觉得学生如果不介意没有很全面的发展（当然NUSH学生也需要念语文科、人文科、有体育、课外活动等，但不是太注重），特别热爱数理，那国大附中是个好的选择。

谢谢了，让我学到了很多。我儿子就是特别喜欢数理，以后也想去美国读大学，所以，NUS应该是很理想的学校了。只是听说很难进的。

RVHS’ First Batch of Graduates Does School Proud

RVHS Student is Top Student in Singapore

1. River Valley High School’s first batch of graduates has done the school proud with their ‘A’ Levels results, which they received on Friday 4 March 2011.

2. Despite a relatively small cohort of 343 students, RVHS has produced a national top student and nine students with eight or more distinctions.

Top Student in Singapore

3. Tan Zhi Xiang, the school’s top student, is also a national top student in the 2010 Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ Level Examination. He scored full distinctions in nine subjects at 13 Academic Units, including distinctions in two H3 subjects and an A1 in Higher Chinese.

4. For his outstanding performance in the Physics paper, Zhi Xiang also received the Gold Medal of Excellence in Physics. The medal is presented by the Institute of Physics, Singapore (IPS) to the top scorers in Physics in the entire A-level cohort.

5. Zhi Xiang is the only student in Singapore to have achieved this stellar performance.

6. The school also congratulates the students for their achievements in the following areas:
