Maths: Numbers to One Hundred - Revised the importance of making tens when counting
- Revised how to count a group of objects by categorising into tens and ones
- Counted in tens
- Identified that 1 ten = 10, 2 tens = twenty = 20, 3 tens = thirty = 30 up to 100.
- Learnt that from 21 to 99, we need to place a hyphen in between the tens and ones when writing in words. Please note that failure to do so does cost precious marks during tests and exams.
- The children identified the similarity between the written form from twenty to ninety: The words end with 'ty'.
Please note that they have to be extremely familiar with the spelling from one to twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, sixty, seventy, eighty, ninety and one hundred. They will be tested on the spelling of the above list next Monday |
