Deferment for Polytechnic Diploma Studies

NS-liable persons will be granted deferment for Polytechnic Diploma studies and its equivalent qualifications (e.g. courses at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) or the LaSalle College of the Arts) if they are able to commence the course before 19 years old (for Secondary 4 students) or 20 years old (for Secondary 5 students), as at 1st January of the course commencement year.

你不是新加坡人，怎么能去NS？PR的话，91年应该已经退伍了阿。18岁如果没有在校读书，就要当兵。还是说你当时在读JC？如果在读JC也不是考O level吧……难道A level进Poly？？？算了，回答下你的问题，如果你拿到录取的package，马上打电话去人力中心，或者上www.ns.sg申请延期服役，这样就可以了。

你如果读的是4年制的中学，POLY开学那年的1月1日，如果你还没有满19周岁
（如果读的是5年制的中学，POLY开学那年的1月1日，如果你还没有满20周岁）
那么就可以在收到兵单时申请deferment，上完3年poly再去服役。

如果楼主是还没有进poly呢，你必须先去服役，因为2012年1月1日时，你已经满20周岁了，不能申请deferment.

如果楼主是去年进的poly，2011年1月1日时，你满了19岁，没有满20岁。如果sec读的是4年制的，需要服役，如果是5年制的，可以申请deferment.

如果楼主是前年进的poly, 2010年1月1日时，你未满19岁，肯定是可以申请deferment的。
