借本帖问个事情，如果已经有用准证申请到的新加坡驾照，有效期到16年， ...

我拿到PR想换新驾照第一次是跑到UBI驾校去换，还是周六中午晃过去，人家已经下班了，怀孕人不舒服后来就懒得去了，本来打算生完以后再说。结果是拿到PR后笫四个月某次因为有事路过附近才又去办的，人家告诉我不在驾校而是在旁边不算远的交通总署由此看，他们并无规定拿到PR马上就要去换新驾照的。

再次感谢。我仔细看了一下，准证驾照换永久驾照不是renewal而是replacement：

Replacement of Driving Licence

        

You are required to  replace your driving licence if you

                  

• misplaced or lost your driving licence
• Your licence has been defaced or damaged to  the extend the information or photo cannot be read
• You have change from a Foreign to a Singapore  ID
• You have changed your name or other personal  information written on the photocard driving licence
  

        
        

Please note that any  update of residential address need only be done through the Immigration and  Customs Authority (ICA).

        

          Replacement of driving  licence has to be done personally at the Traffic  Police Department, No.10 Ubi Ave  3 Singapore  408865.

新加坡是挺没谱的  我是拿了pr的时候顺别问的 说是ID换了 之前的驾照就作废了 所以必须换 不然上路是无照驾驶。。。。。。我去换驾照的时候我的卡还没下来呢 我就拿着那个破条去换的驾照。。。。。。
没谱就tm=case by case吧 这应该写进新加坡教科书。。。

有开车的人还是凡事小心尽快去换啦。我只是不想高价学来的驾照作废了才换的，在新加坡暂时没开车的

有的可以，我朋友回家探亲去考的驾照、后来快递寄过来新加坡、参加理论考试过了、第一次被拒、理由是要6个月以后、6个月后来更换新加坡3号了、中国驾龄为0、一样拿到新加坡驾照了！

坛子里头讨论过很多次的。
理论上使不可以的，必须要来新加坡之前的六个月前拿到才可以。
这样可以杜绝两种情况
一. hoho,两个月之后去新加坡定居了，听说那边考驾照又贵又严格，我赶紧去搞本驾照，到了那再换。
二. 在新呆了好几年了，想搞本驾照，貌似老同学交警大队的，趁这次回国度假的机会，搞本驾照回来应该不是难事。

以上二例，其实都不可以换的。
但是，听坛子里头说（本人无法证实），有人属于以上两种情况，但也换到了。。我只能说，运气好，给他们换的officer那天工作不负责。

这个，其实讨论了很多但很多人还是说的不全面。

1，这个六个月的规定，即登陆前的驾照、要有六个月的期限。这个以前有，后来应该是取消了。
2，登陆以后又回去考的，这种，没有明确规定，因此，更加含糊
3，这个最严格：如果是公民或PR，则限制就严格了。明文规定不能换在海外考获的驾照、除非在海外连续呆六个月以上。楼主属于这种情况，应该是不可以了。

关于驾照的很多细节，我写在这里 -〉[ 驾照问题大全 ]。关于那六个月的说法截取如下：

如果你在新加坡多于一年，你要将你的中国驾照转成新加坡驾照。这需要你通过基本理论考试（Basic Theory Test, BTT）且有驾照的英文公证。太容易了吧？就是这么容易！如果在中国瞎蒙了一个驾照的人可赚大便宜了：换了一个英文的驾照。不过，也没什么可高兴的，如前所述，你那个中国驾照跟这个新加坡驾照是等价的。也正因为此，你才这么容易转成。

条件是考取驾照后半年必须呆在国内，之后才来新加坡的(2009年9月更新：这条好像已经取消了）
