Fun-filled activities in last days of school hols

SINGAPORE - Now that we're one month into the school holidays, you might be running out of ideas on how to keep the young ones occupied.
From shows to mall activities, here are some events that will spice up your kids' lives in the last two weeks of the school hols.
The good news is that there are fun-filled activities galore islandwide.
Dino World
What: Officially launched last Wednesday, Dino World is a permanent ice gallery within Snow City, with over 20 intricate ice sculptures of dinosaurs created by celebrity ice-sculptor Jeffrey Ng.
Where: Snow City (Snow City Building, 21 Jurong Town Hall Road; tel: or )
Prices: See Dino World for free with entry to Snow City, which costs $28 (adults) and $23 (children aged below 12) for two hours of snow play time. Ask about 35th Anniversary Snow City deals.
Santa Claus The Musical
What: From the producers of An- nie comes Santa Claus The Musical, a heart-warming Christmas show. Kids will be pulled into Santa's world, which includes Rudolph the reindeer, tap-dancing polar bears and (uh-oh!) the evil Ice Queen. On until Dec 30.

Water Walking Ball
What: The young and young- at-heart will be thrilled to know that they can get to "walk on water" -in a giant see-through orb at Changi City Point. On until next Tuesday, from 1pm to 9pm daily.
Where: Changi City Point (5 Changi Business Park Central 1; tel: ), at the activity area located outside McDonald's.
Prices: $5 for two minutes of play.
Christmas Adventure Playland
What: A two-tiered playground which spans about 6m by 7m at Compass Point. Look forward to ball games, obstacle courses and slides. On until Sunday, from 1pm to 9pm daily.
Where: Level 1 of Compass Point (1 Sengkang Square; tel: ).
Prices: $5 per entry. Tickets sold on a first-come, first- served basis. For every three play sessions, stand a chance to win a family holiday to Hong Kong.
Rock Climbing Rocks!
What: Scale a special wall at Tampines Mall. On until Sunday, from 12pm to 8pm daily.
Where: Level 1 of Tampines Mall (4 Tampines Central 5; tel: ), opposite Nubox and Starbucks.
Prices: Spend a minimum of $20 at any shop in the mall to get a pass which admits one person for the climb.
It's Snow Time
What: Come experience falling "snow", as well as see a 16m- tall, eco-friendly Chuggington Christmas tree at City Square Mall. On until Dec 30, with "snowfall" at 7.30pm daily.
Where: City Square Mall (180 Kitchener Road; tel: 6595- 6595), at Level 1 City Green.
Prices: Free. The show lasts 20 minutes. The mall is also having a "traintastic" promotion, which runs till Dec 30. Shoppers can redeem an exclusive Chuggington tote bag and pencil case set with $200 spent.
Skate With Santa
What: Skate with Santa at JCube. Available from 3pm to 5pm daily, till Dec 25.
Where: The Rink at JCube (2 Jurong East Central 1; tel: or ).
Prices: A session with Santa is free, with purchase of entry to the rink. A two-hour session costs $21.50 (adults) and $19.50 (children, aged 12 and below), including rental of skates, gloves and socks. Prices for two-hour sessions without the extras are $14 (adults) and $12 (children aged 12 and below).
Also, enjoy The Rink's Christmas Family Package that gives 25 per cent off admission charges for a family of four (with at least one child aged 12 or below).
