Bar & Party

*It's  Miller time. 我们去喝酒吧！

Miller 是一种和Budweiser一样在全都极其畅销的啤酒，但是它在这里并不特指这种啤酒，而是泛指所有的啤酒。

A：It's Friday and we're finished with our classes.
B:  Yeah! It's Miller time.


*Let's go bar-hopping. 我们一块儿去泡吧吧！

一晚上去几个酒吧，在酒吧里玩一会，再去那个酒吧坐一坐，这叫bar-hopping,即‘泡吧’。

A: Tonight, I think that we should venture out.
B: Great idea. Let's go bar-hopping.


*Do you have a favorite hang-out?这附近有没有什么店你常去？

favorite hang-out 就是指喜欢去、常去的店。不单指酒吧，也可以指饭馆、体育中心什么的.

A:I just moved here form out of state. Do you have a favorite hang-out?

B: Well，my friends and I always go bowling on Fridays if you would like to join us sometime.

类似句型 This is my favorite watering hole. (在常去的店中，特指酒吧时，说favorite watering hole.)

A:  I remember when I was in college, this was my favorite watering hole.
B: I thought that you liked the other bar near my house.


*Let's go have a couple of brews.

brews 是beers的俚语说法。有时也说brewskis。

A：My mind is ready for a break.
B:  In that case, let's go have a couple of brews.

*Who's going to pick it up? 谁来付啊？

去酒吧喝完了酒，拿到帐单要付钱时，那些不自觉的朋友们你看我，我看你，谁都没有付钱的意思，这里其中一个人就可以说这句话。这里的'it'指的就是‘帐单’。

A: Who's going to pick it up?
B: Don't look at me. I paid last time.


*I'll pick up the tab. 我来付吧。
tab就是‘帐单’（bill).
