用新式华语回答, 俺不懂。

一碰到这种科学的问题, 俺就抓瞎了, 生怕教错了孩子。一是英语不够用, 尤其是 terminology; 二是科学知识也忘了。

小学科学确实是个伤脑筋的学科。我们等刀如水或其他家长来解答一下吧。我还有另外几道题。1。Is the following a example of how living thing responds to changes in the surronding? (A) The leaves and branches of a tree move when the wind blows. 2. Which one of the following statements about a plant is true? (A). The roots will provide food and water for the plant. (B) The seed leaves provide food for the developing seed. 谢谢！

我是这样理解的：

Grass 是 flowering plant，因此它的life cycle也是3-stages。大多数的植物都是flowering plants，还有一部分是non-flowering plant，比如fern，moss和conifers。
绝大多数Flowering plants都有3-stages life cycle。
Flowering plant的life cycles可以这样区分：1）Seed（不需要food）；2）Young plant或seedling （get food and nutrient from its seed leaves); 3)Adult plant (leave make food for plant )

我家老大上小学的时候我也没怎么管过他的学习；老二比较愚钝，没办法，只好自己上了。。。

(B)  Grasshopper
(C)  Grass
(D) Damselfly

(1) A only
(2) B only
(3) A and C only
(4) B and D only
我女儿选了(3) 被批错了.

谢谢! 第一题与我的理解一致. 因为 non-living things also move when the wind blows.

第二题, 我们原来的理解也跟你的一致, 可是又被老师批错了. 题目是这样的.

Which one of the following statements about a plant is true?

(1) The roots will provide food and water for the plant.
(2) The plant will only make food at the adult stage.
(3) The young plant will bear fruit before it bears flowers.
(4) The seed leaves provide food for the developing seed.

我女儿原来选的答案是(4), 被老师批错了. 老师也没给标准答案, 所以都不知道错在哪里.
