Begin to Praise GOD Now
Psalm 33
1 Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous;
it is fitting for the upright to praise HIM.
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Praise GOD. According to the WORD of GOD, that's the most appropriate, becoming, thing that you as a true believer should do.
Let me warn you though, GOD's idea of appropriate praise and yours may well be two very different things. The praise HE calls for is joyous and uninhibited. And, at times, it's just plain loud!
If you don't believe it, look in the Bible and see the kind of praise that goes on in heaven. Read Isaiah 6 and find out how they act in the throne room. The seraphim shout in there until the doorposts shake! And when they do, the glory of the LORD fills the house.
When you get to heaven, you're going to be praising like that too. You're going to be leaping in joy praising GOD with every part of your being. But don't wait until then to start. Begin praising now.
Decide today that instead of praising GOD the way you like, you are going to start doing it the way HE likes. Begin to release those praises joyously, uninhibitedly. Don't wait until you get to heaven to praise GOD with all your being. Do it now. HE deserves it!
Scripture Study: Isaiah 6:1-8
Isaiah 6:1-8
1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the LORD, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of HIS robe filled the temple. 2 Above HIM were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. 3 And they were calling to one another:
Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty;
the whole earth is full of HIS glory.”
4 At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.
5 “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the KING, the LORD Almighty.”
6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. 7 With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”
8 Then I heard the voice of the LORD saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
We give thanks to GOD, the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, for this day and for you, faithful brothers and sisters.

Rom 13:1 - Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from GOD, and the authorities that exist are appointed by GOD.
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Joseph submitted to the Egyptian authorities; Daniel submitted to the Babylonian authorities; Mordecai submitted to the Persian authorities; JESUS submitted to the Roman authorities. While none of these regimes were godly, GOD had authorized them all.

We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of GOD
2 Corinthians 12:9
New International Version (NIV)
9 But HE said to me, “MY grace is sufficient for you, for MY power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that CHRIST’s power may rest on me.
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
When you run into an impossible situation, a situation you simply don't have the strength or the ability to handle, are you often tempted to simply give up and accept defeat? Don't! Instead shout, "Glory!" because the WORD says GOD's strength is about to be made perfect in you.
The word translated "strength" in this scripture is dunamis. It means "GOD's miracle-working power." Just think about that. When your human strength ends, GOD has promised that HIS miraculous power will bring you through!
If you'll look in Acts 14, you can see that promise in action. The apostle Paul was stoned by a group of Jews, taken out of the city and left for dead. Paul's human strength had ended. He was absolutely powerless.
But the disciples gathered around him and prayed, and the LORD raised him up and he went on his way. In other words, when Paul didn't have enough human strength to overcome, GOD's miracle-working power was sufficient for him. It enabled him to be an overcomer in spite of his weakness!
So, if you are facing a crisis today. If you're sick and medicine has failed you. If your finances are out of control. If your family is falling apart. If bad habits have you hopelessly bound. If you've done absolutely all you know to do and you still haven't gotten results. Then rejoice! For when human strength ends, the power of GOD excels! A true follower need only to believe in the LORD! GOD's grace is sufficient for you!
Scripture Study:
Acts 14:1-22
In Iconium
14 At Iconium Paul and Barnabas went as usual into the Jewish synagogue. There they spoke so effectively that a great number of Jews and Greeks believed. 2 But the Jews who refused to believe stirred up the other Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brothers. 3 So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders. 4 The people of the city were divided; some sided with the Jews, others with the apostles. 5 There was a plot afoot among both Gentiles and Jews, together with their leaders, to mistreat them and stone them. 6 But they found out about it and fled to the Lycaonian cities of Lystra and Derbe and to the surrounding country, 7 where they continued to preach the gospel.
In Lystra and Derbe
8 In Lystra there sat a man who was lame. He had been that way from birth and had never walked. 9 He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed 10 and called out, “Stand up on your feet!” At that, the man jumped up and began to walk.
11 When the crowd saw what Paul had done, they shouted in the Lycaonian language, “The gods have come down to us in human form!” 12 Barnabas they called Zeus, and Paul they called Hermes because he was the chief speaker. 13 The priest of Zeus, whose temple was just outside the city, brought bulls and wreaths to the city gates because he and the crowd wanted to offer sacrifices to them.
14 But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of this, they tore their clothes and rushed out into the crowd, shouting: 15 “Friends, why are you doing this? We too are only human, like you. We are bringing you good news, telling you to turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made the heavens and the earth and the sea and everything in them. 16 In the past, he let all nations go their own way. 17 Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.” 18 Even with these words, they had difficulty keeping the crowd from sacrificing to them.
19 Then some Jews came from Antioch and Iconium and won the crowd over. They stoned Paul and dragged him outside the city, thinking he was dead. 20 But after the disciples had gathered around him, he got up and went back into the city. The next day he and Barnabas left for Derbe.
The Return to Antioch in Syria
21 They preached the gospel in that city and won a large number of disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch, 22 strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said.
We give thanks to GOD, the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, for this day and for you, faithful brothers and sisters.

The Battle
2 Timothy 4:
New International Version (NIV)
6 For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the LORD, the righteous JUDGE, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for HIS appearing.

Spiritual combat is going on all the time. It is important for true believers to be aware of this conflict in order to fight against sin effectively and live in a manner pleasing to the LORD.
The struggle exists in three areas.  First, we have an internal enemy.  Ever since the fall in the Garden of Eden, the human heart does not naturally seek after GOD. But HIS SPIRIT can draw us and move our hearts toward HIM when we choose to. However, even after become a Christian, we will have the capacity to do wrong as long as we remain in this carnal body.  Scripture names evidence of the old "flesh" patterns at work within us, such as  immorality, impurity, jealousy, and outbursts of anger (Gal. 5: 19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions).
Second, there exists an external enemy: the system of ungodly beliefs, attitudes and philosophies in the world all around us. John gives a stern warning in 1 John 2:15 " Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the FATHER is not in them" As true believers in JESUS, we should be salt and light to the society around us while not allowing its corrupted ways to influence our thoughts or behavior.
Third, there's an infernal enemy—namely, Satan. His desire is to dishonor GOD and to gain victory over the LORD's kingdom. We know from Scripture that Satan will be defeated, but the conflict will continue until the final days mentioned in Revelation.
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Be aware of these three enemies. You wouldn't let your guard down in the midst of a raging war, and neither should you live without awareness in the daily spiritual battle. Today's passage gives the specifics for standing firm in CHRIST: Arm yourself with GOD's WORD, and always seek HIS protection and wisdom.
We give thanks to GOD, the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, for this day and for you, faithful brothers and sisters.

Developing Patience
Colossians 3:12 Therefore, as GOD’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the LORD forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

On any given day, we may encounter frustrating people and situations, such as the slow driver, mischievous child, or uncooperative co-worker. We may feel like lashing out, but GOD wants us to stay calm and be patient with everyone (1 Thess. 5: 14 And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone.).
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Why should we want to develop patience?
Our calling. Though we were once alienated from the LORD, we have been made part of HIS family again through JESUS’ shed blood. As GOD’s children, we’re called to live a life worthy of HIM—one that is characterized by humility, gentleness, and patience (Eph. 4: 1 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.).
Biblical teaching. Scripture tells us as true followers of CHRIST we are to be tolerant of one another, bearing each other’s burdens, and responding with kindness.
JESUS’ example. The LORD demonstrated patience toward Peter’s impetuous actions, the crowd’s demands, and the leaders’ false accusations. We are to cultivate an attitude of composure.
Healthy relationships. Our impatience can hurt others and close off dialogue. Responding calmly gives room for the other person to confess wrongdoing, explain his attitude, and make changes.
GOD’s approval. The apostle Paul wrote that we are to be joyful in hope and patient in affliction (Rom. 12: 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.). When we quietly endure our suffering, we find favor with the LORD (1 Pet. 2: 20 But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before GOD.).
The HOLY SPIRIT is conforming us to CHRIST’s image. As we choose to cooperate with HIM, HE will develop in us the ability to persevere—without becoming agitated—when waiting or provoked. A calm demeanor in times of delay or adversity can be a powerful witness to the transforming work of GOD.
We give thanks to GOD, the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, for this day and for you, faithful brothers and sisters.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart
Proverbs 3:
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to HIM,
and HE will make your paths straight.
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Once you start stepping out in faith and walking in the SPIRIT, the devil will see to it that you have ample opportunity to fall flat on your spiritual face. He'll try to get you into some jams where there appears to be no way out.
But take it from me as one who's been there, if you'll look to GOD and trust HIS wisdom instead of your own, HE will always show you a way of escape (1 Cor. 10:13). Not only that, but He'll do it in such a way that HE will get the glory and you'll have the last laugh on the devil.
I remember one particular Wednesday night in a Gospel meeting in Newton, where I was faced with just such a situation. I was sharing on the reality of the righteousness of GOD, and the anointing was really strong. Just as my message reached its climactic moment, a woman in the audience suddenly burst forth in tongues. I told her to stop three times, but she only continued to grow louder. By the time she hushed, the anointing had gone and the message was forgotten. So I looked at that woman sternly and began to correct her for being out of order.
Then a man sitting next to her spoke up and said, "Brother Victor, she is stone deaf. She can't hear a word you're saying."
At that point, I had no idea what to do. Not only had my sharing of GOD’s WORD been shattered, but the whole congregation was mad at me for getting onto that poor deaf woman. (I found out later the man next to her used her to disrupt services and run down preachers. When the service reached a high point, he'd punch her and tell her it was her turn to prophesy.)
So I just stopped a moment and got quiet and waited for the LORD to tell me what to do. Sure enough, HE told me. HE said, "Call her up and lay hands on her and I'll open her ears."
Talk about a turnaround! When GOD healed that woman's ears, HE turned that disaster into one of the most powerfully anointed meetings I'd ever had. Everybody was blessed!
Next time the devil tries to back you into a corner, get quiet. Ask GOD to show you the way of escape. HE will bring you out in victory every time.
Scripture Study: Acts 14:8-22

WAITING : The Grace to Wait
Psalms 62:1-2 Truly my soul silently waits for GOD; From HIM comes my salvation. HE only is my rock and my salvation; HE is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
For most of us, waiting in line is pure agony. We arrive at a doctor’s appointment on time. But we’re forced to sit in the waiting room for what seems like forever. We go to the grocery store for just a few things, and get stuck in a long checkout line. And, then, there’s the glacially-paced traffic jam at the bank drive-thru! It seems no one in our culture likes to wait.
When we take something to the LORD in prayer, we bring our human impatience with us. We may make a request and expect an immediate answer. If GOD doesn’t spring into action right away or within a week or two, some people may think prayer doesn’t work. They believe GOD didn’t hear them, or HE simply wasn’t listening.
How tragic! Compare that attitude to King David’s. He was only 16 years old when GOD sent the prophet Samuel to anoint him as king. Yet, 16 more years would pass before that promise was fulfilled. What did David do during that time? Did he moan and groan, shaking his finger at the LORD and demanding his throne now? Not at all, David understood GOD was trustworthy. He also realized his heavenly FATHER was not only the GOD of who and what, but also of when and how. David wanted the kingship only when GOD was ready for him to have it. So, he waited.
Are you waiting on something today? Will you wait on the LORD like you impatiently wait on a bank teller? Or will you, like King David, trust in GOD’s timing and HIS provision?
We give thanks to GOD, the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, for this day and for you, faithful brothers and sisters.

Heb 7:19 - . . . the law made nothing perfect; on the other hand, there is the bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to GOD.
Dear Brothers n Sisters,
The law can show us GOD's righteous demands, but it has no power to help us comply with those demands. Our "better hope" of salvation through faith in CHRIST, however, enables us to please GOD and to grow close to HIM.
Let us endeavour to grow close to GOD through faith by obeying "all the teachings" of our LORD JESUS CHRIST.
James said, "Faith without works is dead." - James 2:17.
Paul said, "Continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling." Phil 2:12.
Matt 16:27 - For the SON of MAN will come in the glory of HIS FATHER with HIS angels; and then HE will reward every man according to his works.
JESUS said "Unless you repent you will all likewise perish." Luke 13:3 (Repentance requires effort on your part.)
We give thanks to GOD, the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, for this day and for you, faithful brothers and sisters.

24:14 但有一件事,我向你承认,就是他们所称为异端的道,我正按着那道事奉我祖宗的 神,又信合乎律法的和先知书上一切所记载的;

Be a Patient Person
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Paul demonstrated the power of patience when he was brought to trial before Festus. Instead of letting his accusers’ false claims interfere with his calm demeanor, the apostle patiently went through the legal process while remaining faithful to the LORD. He refrained from attacking the opposition or decrying the injustice of the charges. His peaceful manner found favor with the governor and earned him a hearing for the gospel (Acts 24:24 Several days later Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was Jewish. He sent for Paul and listened to him as he spoke about faith in CHRIST JESUS. 25 As Paul talked about righteousness, self-control and the judgment to come, Felix was afraid and said, “That’s enough for now! You may leave. When I find it convenient, I will send for you.”).
Because our “flesh” is inclined towards impatience, we need to seek the LORD during difficult situations. Through prayer, we can ask HIM to take control over our . . .
Thoughts. It is important that we shift our attention away from the circumstance and onto our heavenly FATHER. HIS SPIRIT will help us gain the right perspective.
Emotions. When the HOLY SPIRIT oversees our feelings and reactions, we will find ourselves becoming calmer. Then HE will empower us to respond in a godly manner.
Speech. Asking HIM to help us have self-control over our tongue is essential. A timely word can defuse a situation; speaking defensively or shouting angrily at the other person can inflame it (Prov.15: 18 A hot-tempered person stirs up conflict, but the one who is patient calms a quarrel.).
The HOLY SPIRIT will answer our prayers and provide what we need, just as HE did for the apostle Paul.
Patience requires self-control and a desire to please GOD. Paul had need of both when standing before Festus and King Agrippa. Despite the injustice of those situations, Paul held his ground and was not provoked. Imagine what GOD will do through you as you grow in the virtue of patience.
Scripture study:
Acts 24:1-16
New International Version (NIV)
Paul’s Trial Before Felix
1Five days later the high priest Ananias went down to Caesarea with some of the elders and a lawyer named Tertullus, and they brought their charges against Paul before the governor. 2 When Paul was called in, Tertullus presented his case before Felix: “We have enjoyed a long period of peace under you, and your foresight has brought about reforms in this nation. 3 Everywhere and in every way, most excellent Felix, we acknowledge this with profound gratitude. 4 But in order not to weary you further, I would request that you be kind enough to hear us briefly.
5 “We have found this man to be a troublemaker, stirring up riots among the Jews all over the world. He is a ringleader of the Nazarene sect 6 and even tried to desecrate the temple; so we seized him.  8 By examining him yourself you will be able to learn the truth about all these charges we are bringing against him.”
9 The other Jews joined in the accusation, asserting that these things were true.
10 When the governor motioned for him to speak, Paul replied: “I know that for a number of years you have been a judge over this nation; so I gladly make my defense. 11 You can easily verify that no more than twelve days ago I went up to Jerusalem to worship. 12 My accusers did not find me arguing with anyone at the temple, or stirring up a crowd in the synagogues or anywhere else in the city. 13 And they cannot prove to you the charges they are now making against me. 14 However, I admit that I worship the GOD of our ancestors as a follower of the WAY, which they call a sect. I believe everything that is in accordance with the Law and that is written in the Prophets, 15 and I have the same hope in GOD as these men themselves have, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked. 16 So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before GOD and man.
We give thanks to GOD, the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, for this day and for you, faithful brothers and sisters.
