前些天，看到有贴字说RI丶HCI在三级会有20％被要求读O水准。NJC会不会也有类似的策略？

不会，NJC极少数跟不上的（以往经历，每一届0-2个），会被要求转校。

另外华中和RI也应该不是去考O吧，应该也是转校吧。

正好孩子班成绩最好的男生去参加了NJC的开放日，我就想NJC或许有什么比RI更值得去的地方，吸引着这些品学好的孩子。

如果RI和HCI是靠甩掉末尾20%的学生来赢得他们的学术地位，那还有什么值得去的呢？
如果孩子拼PSLE进到那里，却落到被放弃的一群。我想，这是每个家长不愿看到的吧。

学校和老师给学生下了多大的功夫，为培养孩子花了多少心血，可有一个评估指标？

RI放弃5%真的是个合理值吗？
要知道他的学生都是260分以上进入的，至少是全新加坡的前5%吧？不能给孩子学术附加，那么开设学校的意义何在？

即便RI有一个淘汰率, 也没什么不对吧.
进了哈佛,麻省都还有半路被淘汰的可能呢.
这也是告诉孩子们, 不能躺在PSLE成绩上睡大觉.

不过, 被淘汰的都是个别现象, 一般还不容易遇到.

其实朋友们说,离所谓被淘汰的临界区还很远的时候,家长已经被告知了,所以学校没有主动找家长,看起来是一件好事。但是如果发现某一个科目有问题,最好早跟老师联络,互相配合。

华中有O水准班，以前是一个，现在好像增加到3个。不过在O水准中考到10分就可以进本校JC，相当宽松。如果10分都考不到的，读HCJC的确比较吃力。

我其实觉得也许NJC比华中更重视学业和考试的准备。比如中三的O水准高华的考试，华中根本没有给学生好好准备，结果他们堂堂华校的成绩考出来还不如邻里学校。
