Under the Enlistment Act, all male Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents, unless exempted, are liable to register for National Service (NS).

Main applicants who are granted PR status under the Professionals/Technical Personnel and Skilled Workers (PTS) Scheme or the Investor Scheme are exempted from NS.

除非豁免，不然就要。
技术投资类一定豁免，其余不一定。
不就这个意思嘛。

范围还要小点  是主申请人.

也就是说 女带男的 男的也是属于有义务的, 只是年纪一般过了,所以可以申请豁免.

你可以不要胡搅蛮缠吗？我问007的是官方定义的二代PR的出处在哪里，并非讨论什么scheme可以豁免NS。

我问的跟你回答的是两码事情，请你把second generation的出处拿出来，我没问你scheme。

只要是男的，基本跑不掉了。新加坡太小，国情需要。无可厚非嘛。如果当兵要自愿，那你就等久久了。

官方 没有2代PR 这个说法  就好比 DPR 其实也是不存在的
所谓的2代PR 在官方那边就是不是靠自己的条件获得的PR.

Is the information on age limit true? I intent to sponsor my husband for the PR application. But kind of worried of the NS thing, because that will affect our lifes greatly e.g. income/ his career. My husband is 28 yrs old and he is holding working permit. I've asked ICA and www.ns.sg providing them with all information e.g. age, but they could not provide me a yes/no answer. Their replies were always "he'll be under 2nd generation PR which is liable to serve NS". Does anyone encountered the same situation as us? Many thanks for any kind soul who can enlighten us.
