靠着圣灵和真理敬拜

靠着圣灵和真理敬拜是出自哪里呢？

靠着圣灵和真理敬拜是出自约翰福音第四章的经文，当主耶稣经过撒玛利亚作短暂停留时，与一个撒玛利亚妇人的谈话讲到了敬拜。

交谈的时候，主耶稣告诉妇人：“时候将到，你们拜父也不在这山上，也不在耶路撒冷。你们所拜的你们不知道，因为救恩是从犹太人出来的。”又说：“时候将到，如今就是了。那真正拜父的，要靠着圣灵和真理拜祂，因为父要这样的人拜祂。 神是个灵，所以拜祂的，必须靠着圣灵和真理拜祂”（约翰福音4:23-24）

谈话过后，这个撒玛利亚妇人意识到，主耶稣就是弥赛亚，于是立刻跑去和其他人分享这个喜讯。结果，因主耶稣的话，信而得救的人就更多了（约翰福音4:25-42）。而对这个妇人来说，靠着圣灵和真理敬拜是一个全新的含义。

靠着圣灵敬拜是什么意思呢？

靠着圣灵敬拜的意思是，我们的敬拜应该产生于上帝的灵，并以反映出圣灵的果实为明证：圣灵所结的果子就是仁爱、喜乐、和平、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信实、温柔、节制，这样的事没有律法禁止（加拉太5:22-23）。  

没有靠着圣灵敬拜的明证

我们的敬拜，是否反映出仁爱、喜乐、和平、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信实、温柔、节制呢？还是反映出怨恨、哀伤、忧虑、无耐心、残忍、罪恶、不敬虔、傲慢、狂妄的意念言行呢？如果反映出第一个始于仁爱的果实列表，那才能证实我们是在靠着圣灵的带领来敬拜上帝。

靠着真理敬拜是什么意思？

靠着真理敬拜的意思就是，我们的敬拜应该完全反映圣经的教义（诗篇71:22-24 我的 神阿，我要鼓瑟称赞你，称赞你的诚实。以色列的圣者阿，我要弹琴歌颂你。我歌颂你的时候，我的嘴唇和你所赎我的灵魂都必欢呼，并且我的舌头必终日讲论你的公义，因为那些谋害我的人已经蒙羞受辱了。提摩太后书3:16-17 圣经都是 神所默示的，于教训、督责、使人归正、教导人学义、都是有益的，叫属 神的人得以完全，预备行各样的善事。以弗所4:17-25 所以我说，且在主里确实的说，你们行事不要再像外邦人，存虚妄的心行事。他们心地昏昧，与 神所赐的生命隔绝了，都因自己无知，心里刚硬。良心既然丧尽，就放纵私欲，贪行种种的污秽。你们学了基督，却不是这样。如果你们听过祂的道、领了祂的教、学了祂的真理，就要脱去你们从前行为上的旧人。这旧人是因私欲的迷惑，渐渐变坏的。又要将你们的心志改换一新，并且穿上新人，这新人是照着 神的形象造的，有真理的仁义和圣洁。所以你们要弃绝谎言，各人与邻舍说实话，因为我们是互相为肢体）。还应该避免作出被上帝谴责的敬拜（申命记18:9-13你到了耶和华你 神所赐之地，那些国民所行可憎恶的事你不可学着行。你们中间不可有人使儿女经火，也不可有占卜的、观兆的、用法术的、行邪术的、用迷术的、交鬼的、行巫术的、过阴的。凡行这些事的，都为耶和华所憎恶。因那些国民行这可憎恶的事，所以耶和华你的 神将他们从你面前赶出，你要在耶和华你的 神面前作完全人。哥林多前书10:20我乃是说，外邦人所献的祭是祭鬼，不是祭神，我不愿意你们与鬼相交）。甚至基督教涉及的歌词和词曲作者，也都应该对照圣经来检验，确保无论是歌词含义或是作者动机都符合真理，防止歌曲只是代表个人或机构组织的意愿，而在圣经方面却不正确（罗马书16:17-18弟兄们，那些离间你们、叫你们跌倒、背乎所学之道的人，我劝你们要留意躲避他们。因为这样的人不服事我们的主基督，只服事自己的肚腹，用花言巧语诱惑那些老实人的心）。如果我们用时间来根据圣经验证我们的敬拜，那么这样做就是在靠着真理或按照上帝话语的教导来敬拜。

结论

靠着圣灵和真理敬拜并不是一个简单的名词，被某个机构组织盖上印就代表这是正确的敬拜。照字义来讲，我们的敬拜从检验中就能看出虚实（哥林多前书3:11-14 因为那已经立好的根基，就是耶稣基督，此外没有人能立别的根基。若有人用金、银、宝石、草木、禾楷，在这根基上建造，各人的工程必然显露。因为那日子要将他表明出来，有火发现，这火要试验各人的工程怎样。人在那根基上所建造的工程若存得住，他就要得赏赐）。如果检验后，印证我们的敬拜是反映圣灵的果实，同时是产生于我们主的灵，那么这样的敬拜在灵命上就是正确的。如果我们的敬拜，包括敬拜原则，都验证出在灵命上是正确的，那就意味着我们是靠着真理敬拜。最后，靠着圣灵和真理敬拜的根本出发点是仁爱，有仁爱才能蒙上帝的悦纳，才有益于基督的肢体。

在此，我们夫妻感谢上帝，我们主耶稣基督的父，赐给我们美好的一天，也赐给我们你们这些忠心于主的弟兄姊妹们。

Worship in Spirit and in truth

Where does the phrase worship in Spirit and in truth come from?

The phrase worship in SPIRIT and truth comes from a passage a Scripture found in John 4 when JESUS was traveling though Samaria and HE stopped at a well. While there JESUS had a conversation with a Samaritan woman about worship.

During the conversation, JESUS told the woman that the hour was coming when they no longer would worship in Samaria or in Jerusalem and that they did not know what they worship because salvation is of the Jews. JESUS then said to her, “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the FATHER in SPIRIT and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship HIM. GOD is a SPIRIT: and they that worship HIM must worship HIM in SPIRIT and in truth” (John 4:23-24).

   

After this conversation, the Samaritan woman learned that JESUS was the Messiah and immediately left to go share the good news with others. This resulted in many more being saved as the word spread that the Messiah had arrived (John 4:25-42). To this woman, worshiping in SPIRIT and in truth took on a whole new meaning.

What does it mean to worship in SPIRIT?

Worshiping in SPIRIT means that our practice of worship should be produced by GOD the HOLY SPIRIT. Evidence of this would be a worship practice that reflects the fruit of the SPIRIT as found in Galatians 5: 22 But the fruit of the SPIRIT is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Evidence of worship not in SPIRIT

Does our worship reflect love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control? Or does it produce hatred, sorrow, anxiety, impatience, cruelty, sinfulness, godlessness, arrogance, and wild behavior? If it reflects the first list that begins with love, then and only then is worshiping in SPIRIT.

What does it mean to worship in truth?

Worshiping in truth means that our practice of worship should reflect proper Biblical doctrine (Psalms 71: 22 I will praise YOU with the harp for your faithfulness, my GOD; I will sing praise to YOU with the lyre, HOLY ONE of Israel. 23 My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to YOU—I whom YOU have delivered. 24 My tongue will tell of YOUR righteous acts all day long, for those who wanted to harm me have been put to shame and confusion.; 2 Timothy 3: 16 All Scripture is GOD-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of GOD may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.; Ephesians 4: 17 So I tell you this, and insist on it in the LORD, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18 They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of GOD because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. 19 Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed. 20 That, however, is not the way of life you learned  21 when you heard about CHRIST and were taught in HIM in accordance with the truth that is in JESUS. 22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like GOD in true righteousness and holiness. 25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.).

Evidence of this would be avoiding worship practices that GOD condemns (Deuteronomy 18: 9 When you enter the land the LORD your GOD is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. 10 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. 12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD; because of these same detestable practices the LORD your GOD will drive out those nations before you. 13 You must be blameless before the LORD your GOD.; 1 Corinthians 10: 20 No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to GOD, and I do not want you to be participants with demons.).

It also requires that the lyrics and even the writers of music used should be examined scripturally. This is to ensure that the truth is being told lyrically, preventing possible endorsement of persons or organizations that are not scripturally correct (Romans 16: 17 I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. 18 For such people are not serving our LORD CHRIST, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.). If we take the time to examine our worship practices scripturally, then it is worshiping in truth or according to the teachings of GOD’s WORD.

Conclusion

Worshiping in SPIRIT and in truth is more than just a slick phrase to put a stamp of approval on how we worship. It literally means that our practices of worship are examined to see what sort it is (1 Corinthians 3: 11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is JESUS CHRIST. 12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward.). If it is examined and found to be reflective of the FRUIT of the SPIRIT and produced by the SPIRIT of our LORD, then it is spiritually correct. If our worship includes elements that are examined and found to be scripturally correct it means that our worship practices are in truth. In the end, worship in SPIRIT and in TURTH motivated by love is pleasing to GOD and edifying to the body of CHRIST.

任凭义人击打我

平安弟兄姊妹们！当义人发自仁爱之心，用严厉的责备或令人不快的纠正来“击打”我们时，他们这样做是为了我们的益处。只有愚蠢的人，才会在自己实际需要青霉素的时候，却要冰激凌吃。

Let the righteous strike me

Ps. 14:5 - Let the righteous strike me; it shall be a kindness. And let him rebuke me; it shall be as excellent oil; led my head not refuse it.

When the righteous “strike” us through a stern rebuke or painful correction, they do so for our own good. Only a fool would call for ice cream when he really needs penicillin.

平安弟兄姊妹们！我们所有人每天每分每秒都需要上帝的带领，上帝也指示我们要这样向祂请求。我们必须靠着有行动的信心来请求，并且谨慎听从祂的声音。上帝永远都会带领那些真心要服从祂、跟从祂话语而行的人。

Obey GOD and HE will take care of all your consequence

Ps. 143:8 Cause me to hear YOUR loving kindness in the morning. For in YOU do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to YOU.

We all need GOD's guidance every minute of the day, and HE instructs us to ask for it. We must ask in faith and then listen carefully for HIS voice. HE always guides those who really want to obey and follow HIS WORD.

Obey GOD

Ps. 143:10 Teach me to do YOUR will, for YOU are my GOD; YOUR SPIRIT is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.

Every day we obey someone. Paul says that we can sin, which leads to death; or we can obey GOD, which leads to righteousness (Rom. 6:16). If GOD is our MASTER, shouldn't we learn to obey.

Fear GOD

Pro. 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate.

As a follower (true Christian) of CHRIST, we must grow spiritually. And we must gradually change from trying to stop doing the evil thing that we really want to do, to actually hating the evil thing so that we no longer want to do it.
