回答愚昧人

不要照愚昧人的愚妄话回答他，恐怕你与他一样；要照愚昧人的愚妄话回答他，免得他自以为有智慧（箴言26:4-5）

平安弟兄姊妹们！可能有人会说：“你看，这两节经文讲得明显是矛盾的！”不是的，圣经决对没有任何的矛盾。这两节经文都是正确的，只是智慧人懂得在不同的境况或不同的时候，该适用哪节经文。

Answer a fool

Pro. 26:4,5 - Do not answer a fool according to his folly, lest you also be like him. Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes.

Some may say, "There you have it: a direct contradiction in the Bible!" Well, not quite. Both statements can be true, although in different situations and at different times, it takes a wise person to know which one applies.

不要自夸

要别人夸奖你，不可用口自夸。等外人称赞你，不可用嘴自称（箴言27:2）

平安弟兄姊妹们！我们的上帝厌恶人类的自夸，但是我们这个社会好像认定自夸是理所当然的，尤其是体育界和娱乐界，然而“惟有 神断定，祂使这人降卑，使那人升高”（诗篇75:7）

Do not praise yourself

Pro. 27:2 - Let other man praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger, and not your own lips.

Our GOD loathes human self-promotion. Our society seems to take it for granted, especially in athletics and entertainment, but "GOD is the judge; HE puts down one, and exalts another" (Ps. 75:7).

通达人

通达人见祸藏躲，愚蒙人前往受害（箴言27:12）

平安弟兄姊妹们！信靠上帝，并不意味着我们要停止思考，或逃避我们所面对的现实和挑战。只有愚蒙人才会坚持视而不见，而智慧人会时刻保持警醒，并会采取适当行动。

A prudent man

Pro. 27:12 - A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself; the simple pass on and are punished.

Trust in GOD does not mean that we turn off our brains or skip through life without any though about our surroundings or the challenges we face. Fools remain oblivious, the wise stay alert and take appropriate action.

认罪

遮掩自己罪过的，必不享通；承认并离弃罪过的，必蒙怜恤（箴言28:13）

平安弟兄姊妹们！当我们遮掩自己的罪时，罪就在黑暗中以其可怕的势力捆绑着我们。而当我们谦卑地向上帝认罪，并且悔改我们所犯的罪时，罪就被暴露在真理之光中，失去了捆绑我们的能力。因此，向上帝认罪并悔改不是自我毁灭，而是得蒙释放。

Confession

Pro. 28:13 - He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.

Sins left covered and in the dark retain their awful power over us, while sins exposed in the light of truth through confession lose their ability to keep us bound. Confessions is not self-mutilation, but freedom.

服从上帝

没有异象（或作默示），民就放肆；惟遵守律法的，便为有福（箴言29:18）

平安弟兄姊妹们！当一个社会拒绝上帝的默示，并且每个人都按己意而行时，会发生什么呢？只会像士师记所描述的，得到一个堕落的文明（17:6那时以色列中没有王，各人任意而行）。这样的文明，决对不会有好的结果。

Obey GOD

Pro. 29:18 - Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law.

What happens when a society rejects GOD's revelation and everyone does as he sees fit? You get a culture that looks a lot like the perverted one described in the Book of Judges (17:6 - In those days Israel had no king; all the people did whatever seemed right in their own eyes). And it never works.
