We will reimburse You for the Eligible Expenses incurred for Planned Overseas Medical Treatment and overseas Outpatient Cancer Treatment for the following Illnesses or Surgical Procedure(s) that were first diagnosed by a Physician in Singapore, subject to the Benefit limits stated in the AXA General Care Benefits Schedule:
Cancer;
Neurosurgery;
Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery;
Heart Valve Surgery; and
Major Organ Transplant (kidney, lung, liver, heart, pancreas and bone marrow), but excluding organ harvesting expenses
We will reimburse You the lower of the actual medical expenses incurred, or the Reasonable and Customary Expenses that may be incurred in a Singapore Private Hospital for medical treatment necessary for the same Illness or Injury.
We will convert the Eligible Expenses denominated in foreign currency to Singapore currency at the prevailing exchange rate as determined by Us based on the Hospital discharge date of the Life Assured.
For the avoidance of doubt, We do not cover Pre-Hospitalisation Treatment, which is given before the Planned Overseas Medical Treatment, and Post-Hospitalisation Treatment which is given after the Planned Overseas Medical Treatment under Your AXA Shield Policy.
This Benefit is capped at $50,000 per Policy Year and is subject to a Waiting Period of 90 days. Such Illnesses or Surgical Procedures must first be diagnosed by a Physician in Singapore after 90 days from the Effective Date or last Reinstatement Date, whichever is later. |
