根据建屋局的条例,组屋屋主是不允许把房间做短期出租,如被发现可被罚款、组屋甚至可被充公没收。你知道短期(少于6个月)出租房间是违规的吗?
HDB said its flats are not to be let out to tourists, is illegal to rent out on daily basis or short term and home owners who do this risk being fined and served compulsory acquisition orders.
According to HDB, HDB owners are not allowed to sublet their bedrooms on a short-term basis. The period of subletting to each subtenant per application must not be less than 6 months. Also, the subtenants must be:
a. Singapore citizens; or
b. Singapore permanent residents; or
c. Non-citizens legally residing in Singapore who are holders of Employment Passes, S Passes, Work Permits, Student Passes, Dependant Passes, Professional Visit Passes or Long-Term Social Visit Passes. These passes must have a validity period of at least 6 months as at the date of subletting application.
Housing Development Board added that subletting of rooms to ‘non-approved sub-tenants’ like tourists is an infringement of the lease and the board can take stern action through a fine or even a compulsory acquisition of the flat.
