EP快到期，即将Renew，还可以申请JTC的房子吗？

我的EP下个月底到期了，刚跟公司续签了新合同，打算下个月去Renew我的EP。 因为在JTC找到了比较心仪的房子，所以很想立即去租下来，但我的EP即将过期了，新的EP还没有renew，不知道是否可以申请。如果不行的话，可以让单位给开个证明信什么的不？ 谢谢大家！
