回复 明年PSLE 的帖子
英华比较特殊,有IP(IB), 有Express,还有Normal Steam (部分ACS Baker学生)。不 ...
那你陪我去呗,省得我报错了。:lol
ACSI has about 9 Express ('O' level) classes with about 33-35 students each, and 6 IB classes about 24-25 students each. I think the school takes in about between 80-90 students via DSA and the rest after PSLE results. DSA to the IB program requires the student to sit for a 2 1/2 hour HAST test, submission of portfolio and personal statement but no interview. Everyone, including GEP students, have to sit for the HAST test. I don't believe primary school affiliation matters for the IB track. It is a fair system. But for the 'O' level track, affiliation counts - think the cut-off around 235.
Yes, students expected to take 2 CCAs-usually a uniformed group and a sport/club. This will take up at least 2 afternoons and/or Sat mornings. Somehow the students will cope.
Top performing students from the Express track can transfer to the IB track at the end of sec 2 (not sec 1). Those who remain in the Express after sec 2 will take the 'O' levels, after which they can either choose to stay in ACSI to do IB or go to ACJC or other JCs to do 'A' levels. BTW, poor performing IB students may also be asked to switch to the Express at end of sec 2.
