刚在KIASU PARENT 上 看到下面这段话,不知乍地觉得不能去到最好的学校,也不一定是件坏事,是不是心底的阿Q在作怪。
Do not sulk over your 'misfortune'. My nephew, an ex-rafflesian, who managed a score of 267 some years ago had the following comments about RI: We were like outcasts in the eyes of the teachers. Competition in the school was so stiff. The teachers' pets were the Chinese scholars, some GEPers and the superbrainies. It's very frustrating that every effort you put into the projects were graded as sub-standard compared to those fellow classmates. The worst was we were accused of being lazy. At a tender age of 13-16, some of us soon lost our confidence and self-esteem as we used to be the precious top-scorers in our primary schools. |
