<P>If you have problems understanding the national anthem, just ask. There's no need to use it as ammunition in your attacks. It's in the primary school syallabus to teach the children the meaning of the national anthem and while there is no doubt that some might forget that in later parts of their life, most would hold on true to the meaning of "Mahjulah Singapura".
<P>And almost anyone coming to Singapore would already know the official language of administration is in English and many adopt their mother tongue as a second language. I find your basis of attacks lacking and without conviction although that is the decision you choose to make.
<P>And another thing, I'm not a native Singaporean and Mandarin was a elective that was chosen when I was in Primary 5. But I doubt language is going to be a problem when I make friends with the PRC nationals here. Never did and I doubt it ever will be.
