【401】The One With The Jellyfish ice's note 1.Bonnie:Rachel was just help me out. My head got all sunburned. help sb out , got sunburned 2.Bonnie:Thanks a million. Rachel:You are welcome a million. 生活中你听过说：“非常不客气”的吗？：） here u go 。 3.Rachel: well ,can't you tell her that you are not in the mood? 在想说没心情干某事的时候，很好的选择就是， i am not in the right mood 4.Phoebe : well I think I can figure it out... figure sth out 也是friends里出现频率及高的词组，意为理解sth ，弄明白sth，例如： I've never been able to figure him out. 我老是搞不懂他。 5.Monica : shoot! we're out of soda. 记得最初开始看friends时，常常为 shoot所困惑。直到一次于一个加拿大的老太太交谈中，她告诉我，这个词原意是要表达shoot的，但一般的女性或是有文化的人都不会直接发出那个音，所以就有了shoot。另外诸如 gosh 也是这种情况，避免发god的音。当然那是女性的专利，guy用的话，难免要象chandler一样为人误解哦~~：） out of sth 简洁有效的表达法````什么东西没有了，用完了

6.Ross : wow, it’s-it’s 5:30 in the morning.So, I’d better get cracking on this baby. crack on 继续干下去，有go on 的意思 7.Ross: Okay, I’ll be up in, (looks at the letter) 18 pages. Front and back. Very exciting. Ross与Rachel感情史上相当重要的一幕就数这18pages~~~~~~Front and back.正反两面。这个表达法没有几个R&R迷会不熟悉吧：） 8.Chandler: All right, there’s a nuclear holocaust. holocaust 特指大规模的毁灭，大批人的死亡，譬如此处chandler所指的核爆炸。另外有个专有的 the Holocaust 专指纳粹对犹太人的屠杀 9.joey：Check this baby out, dug me a hole! check out 常用于旅馆退房和超市付款出口。但在friends中使用频率及高的是，check sth out，快来瞧瞧这个！尤其是joey，每当有什么特别的发现总是一脸坏笑：check this out~~~~ 10.Ross: She wants me to take responsibility for everything that went wrong in our relationship. I mean she goes on for five pages about, about how I was unfaithful to her!

【409】The One Where They're Going To Party! 1.Gandolf 是个灰袍巫师。（磨戒2里升级为白袍，法力大增。）是护送戒指队伍里的向导人物。 ROSS AND CHANDLER把衫办宴会的人称为Gandolf，一是因为巫师有法力（磨戒里另一个出场较多的白袍巫师是个坏人，不算），二是Gandolf为人和善，召人待见。（进矮人村还有小孩跟在后面跑），三，可能来自磨戒1里的一段，Gandolf为百岁小矮人庆生，各种奇逸的烟火，十分有手段。

【412】The One With The Embryos 1.pet peeve 所谓的 pet peeve 就是个人生活习惯上的一些小毛病, 例如有些人不喜欢别人碰他的计算机, 要是你碰他的计算机他就会不高兴, 这就是所谓的 pet peeve. (而非 bad habit.) 通常 pet peeve 都是比较无伤大雅的小毛病, 几乎每个人都有属于他自己的 pet peeve. 所以就有老美跟我说过, "Everybody has his pet peeve." 如果是这个坏习惯大到会影响别人, 像是在公共场所老是讲话很大声, 这就不是 pet peeve, 而要用 annoying 来形容. 例如我就常听老美抱怨, "Don't you think he is annoying?" (你不觉得他很烦吗?)

【402】The One With The Cat ice's note 1.Chandler: You don’t turn and slide, you throw it out! I’m tired of having to get a tetanus shot every time I get dressed! Monica: ‘Cause I ran into him at the bank, he is still soo cute. run into sb --meet sb accidently 2.Chandler: Ahh, Gepeto, $5,000 dollars? Are you insane? are u insane? friends里很常用的句子。“你有病吧，你不正常吧”倾向于表达对方做的事情很weird 而are u crazy？更多的用在某人对某事投注太多的热情 3.Ross: Are you sure she’s in the cat, or have you been taking your grandma’s glycoma medicine again? 4.Ross对Phoebe认为猫仔是母亲lily加以戏噱，而Phoebe回击倒: No Dr. Skepticism 这里的skepticism是sceptic的意思，指的是一种愤世嫉俗，对一切即成事实表示怀疑的人，也常常指对基督教事宜表示怀疑的人。 5.Monica: You went to one where you were popular, and you got to ride off Chip’s motorcycle, and wear his letterman jacket. I went to one where I wore a band uniform they had to have specially made. 这段声泪具下的痛诉换来了rachel的同情，monica换来了go out with“高中的chip”机会，确确实实的高中的chip：） ride off 骑...而去 letterman 校内的优秀运动员，很实用的词 6.Joey: I was tryin’ to make a sale!! Oh, man, if I ever run into that guy again, do you know what I’m gonna do? Chandler: BEND OVER?!!!

【403】the one with the cuff ice's note 1.Chandler: Could we be more white trash? chandler招牌句，could ...be more....? white trash 指贫苦的白人，，，类似的短语还有个white salve吧，形容被逼良为娼的女子。 2.Monica: I just told my Mom I’d cater a party for her. Phoebe: How come? how come 的用法大部分等于why 但使用的广度要小于why。它通常是当你觉得对方的做法很奇怪的时候问为什么。比如有人喜欢睡觉前喝很多水，你就问how come？例如此处，但这次monica答应承办一度让她要发疯的母亲的party，Phoebe才问，how come？ 另外，当你不想回答某人涉及隐私或是很stupid的问题是，亦可用：how come。意为：你怎么问出这样的问题`~` 3.Monica: You don’t have to stick up for her. She can’t hear you. Monica在处理父母关系上对其乖乖仔哥哥ross一向很神经质，这句话嘲讽意味十足，也相当搞笑：） stick up for sb /sth 支持或维护...利益 4.Chandler: Hey uh, Rach, funny story. I ah, bumped into Joanna on the street yesterday. bump一词使用很广。 monica把ben头上撞出了小包叫bump，chandler称自己的three nipple为little bump，而这里 bump into sb 为口语中meet sb by chance的意思 by the way，在该场景中，chandler和rachel争执时，joey在一旁发出的声音很熟悉吗？ 看过forrest gump这部经典电影的应该有印象吧，呵呵，little gump的母亲为了他的上学问题与校长have sex后，校长走出来，gump对他发出的声音

7.Monica: No, it’s okay, not only did I get to go out with Chip Matthews, I got to dump Chip Matthews. dump sb 抛弃某人，甩了某人的最常用美式表达法似乎比break up with sb 要更单方面一点 8.Phoebe: Okay, then you don’t know what it feels like when one of them comes back. Do you? I believe this is my Mother. Even if I’m wrong, who cares? Just be a friend. Okay? Be supportive. 这段我看时很感动，尤其是最后一句，just be a friends， okey？ be supportive。是啊，朋友一场，缘起相逢，又何必苛求如何呢。 9.About SAUCY 我的野蛮女友的英译就是My Saucy Girl

It’s eating me alive!! eat sb alive 想象一下那种煎熬痛苦无奈无助.......可怜的joey~~~~~ 14.想说，我很疼，，， here comes Monica: I was in too much pain. 15.Joey:......I got the stage fright......怯场 stage fright 16.Phoebe: All right, stop it.
