刚回到新加坡，被这里的haze给吓到了。
楼上的同学出了个问题，研究了一下，认为楼主翻译成thread starter ...

这个不太对。

“楼主”是Original Poster， 简称OP， 也可以叫 Author。例句： "PMJI, but I think the OP was just sharing an anecdote aboutSingapore . He wasn't looking for a debate on politics inSingapore."

Thread Starter也没有错，只是网络上很少用这个词。

楼主认真好学的精神值得鼓励， 加油。

面团也可以叫Paste或者dough， 馅通常叫filling， 擀面是Roll it flat，捏皮是pinch the wrapper。。。

很多所谓的Chinese proverb都是老外编出来骗人的。

更可气的是， 比中指这个动作称为'Chinese Rude Finger", 明明是古希腊人发明的，在欧洲用了两千多年， 却偏偏赖在中国人头上。

下水道： sewer 和  drain。
sewer更偏向于公共的，而drain偏向于家庭的。如果理解有误，请大家指正。

小小更正一下。

sewer  - 排污管道（系统），用于搜集，储存，和排放排泄物和工业废水。
drain -  排水管道（系统），用于搜集和排放雨水和比较干净的生活和工业用水。

仔细观察一下家里的地漏管道和马桶管道， 是不是两条不同的管道系统？前者导入Drainage System， 后者导入Sewerage System。
